| Baptism This Sabbath: Baptismal Candidates |
| Greetings Friends and Family! As you may know we are having a baptism this coming Sabbath. It will be held at the Waldorf Seventh-day Adventist church at 11245 Berry Rd, Waldorf, MD 20603. The time we have been given is 2:45 – 3:45. Bag lunch will be provided from our church and we should try to head out to the Waldorf church by 2 – 2:15 to arrive and get started on time. We have two candidates for baptism and one joining us by Profession of Faith. Sis. Shawana Reynolds is the daughter of Sis. Adunni Bascom Reynolds, one of our greeters. She has completed the “The Faith of Jesus” Bible study and also started Bible studies on prophecy. Bro. Sidney Wray is the husband of Sis. Marilyn Wray who joined our church in 2023. They discovered the Sabbath by watching 3ABN. He has completed the “Amazing Facts” Bible study and is currently practicing learning how to teach those lessons to others! He is also an avid reader of the Bible and other Seventh-day Adventist materials. Bro. St. Clair Carter (picture not yet available) is the brother of Sis. Genevieve Porter who transferred to our church late last year and who is our Community Services leader. Bro. St. Clair grew up in a Seventh-day Adventist family but wandered away from the church. He has now made the decision to join the remnant church, through Profession of Faith, as he has already been baptized by submersion. He has completed two of the Bible studies in our LBM Discover Light Voice of Prophecy Online Bible School: “Focus on Prophecy” and “Discover Bible Studies” Please pray for them in this vital point in their lives as they have made their decisions. Also, join us on Sabbath to support them, welcoming them into our LBM family. Blessings! |
